Hi...
I'm Chris and I live in Oil City, PA. You stopped by my place of employment yesterday in Cranberry to use the restroom and refill your water. It was nice to get to meet you and I wish you luck in your travels. I believe that all people have some good in their hearts and that most are willing to go that extra step to be kind and lend a hand. However, the sad part is, society has made us so fearful of one another. My daughter is 20 years old and was driving to college not so awful long ago and pasted a man walking up a steep hill, in the rain, on a rather chilly morning. She called me in tears. She felt so bad because she wanted to stop. She wanted to let him into her warm vehicle so he could ride and not walk. Fear kept her from going that extra step although her heart told her it was the right thing to do. More then likely that man would have done her no harm, but sadly, she could not take that chance. The world is changing and I'm afraid it is not for the better. Not so long ago our little area was devistated by a child being kidnapped, raped and murdered. This, our small "podunk" town. Something that only happens "other" places. I'm glad you stopped by my place of employment. I'm glad I felt safe enough to welcome you in here to freshen up and chat. Sadly, I only felt that way because there were others here and close by. Had you knocked on my door at home, I would have brought food and beverage to you but never left you inside. Our country has been shaken with so much evil. I commend you for having enough courage to go out there and trust. Trust that the person that has offered you a ride or a place to stay the night will not harm you before it's over. I will keep checking on you from time to time now that I have this site address. Good luck and please...BE SAFE.

Hope you enjoyed the nice weather today, it is to turn more like winter starting tomorrow. I met you in a small town of Corsica and offered you a bottle of water to take on your journey. I hope you succeed and wish you the best of luck.

Thank you very much and thanks again for the water.
I did enjoy the weather (as far as I remember). But I've also so far very much enjoyed the winter weather as well.
I love walking in the snow(!) at least the snow I've seen up to this point which hasn't been terribly much.
May you succeed in your endeavors as well, and take care.

I must contest: I enjoyed our meeting as well.

Anyway, thanks much for affording me the kindness that you did. Hang on tight, take care of yourself and others and continue to release some of your goodness back to the world and we may get through our time without a terrible mess.

You never know.

Be well, Chris.
