(Note from fellow human: this regards my first attempt to walk across the country. See "project history)

What happened? I got excited when you walked thru Massillon, Ohio and made the front page of the local newspaper. I was hopeful that you were another Peace Pilgrim or a Ghandi. And then you seemed to stall out and fade away. What happened to your mission and your commitment?

Hello Bob

My what lofty characters you mention in relation to me. I am not too much like Ghandi or Peace Pilgrim in that they, at least according to the way they've largely been portrayed, did not have their productivity so curtailed by their specific human failings. And I think Peace, a hero (?) doesn't seem to be the right word) of mine, almost seems to have shed her foibles altogether.

My friend, to put it plainly, and, really, without beating myself up, I am a bit of a screw up. I think I have something very important to talk about but this is knowledge or information and no matter how relevant it is it depends on a part of me, entirely separate from it, to both put it out into the world, and be satisfied with it. Some portion or the whole of this part of me seems to have been compromised in some way and I am ever exploring and working with it and aim to just keep heading towards my objective to the best of my ability. The discrepancy between my content and my delivery brings to mind how I look at individual aspects of people. Take intelligence. It seems that when we say someone is smart, we fail to realize that they are often not across the board what we consider to be intelligent. There can be a person who is terribly intelligent as far as the inns and outs of, say, finances/investments go, but is rather stunted as far as relationships go. Or even someone who is smart about some aspects of relationships but quite clueless about others. Intelligence or capability in one area does not have any bearing on whether it exists in another. Another sort of version of this is how someone considered to be a despicable person may yet posses some perspective of great value that upstanding persons would do quite well to adopt.

Anyway, if I do have anything relevant to offer, I am nevertheless a very imperfect blend.

I do however want to apologize to you for the delay in responding to your question. I've also sent you a link to a relevant post that, along with the latest offering, and this, will hopefully answer your question.

And I do want you to know I am still committed to this task and believe I will remain committed in some substantial way to what it is all about for the rest of my life.

So thank you for your question, and any patience you have afforded, and may yet afford me and I'll perhaps talk to you later.

Go with care. -f

Hello you that observes this.

I have just released a blog post to all that should answer the question "So where are you?". It is titled:

Lima, OH. Off we go again (a bit of a big one).

Or here's something you can copy and paste in your browser field:

http://www.mindsmaymeet.org/?q=node/34

I have also posted the next offering. It's on the home page beneath the first two.

Finally, I have revamped the mission statement and hope you read it.

I hope you can excuse this killing two birds with one stone thing.

Thanks much. -f
